IES Exam : INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES (IES full form) देश के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित सेवाओ में से एक है,यह CENTRAL GOVERNMENT में GROUP A और B की सेवाओ में गिनी जाती है,इसमें चुने गए ऑफिसर्स को govt के विभिन्न departments में technical पदों में पोस्ट किया जाता है|IES का exam UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION द्वारा हर वर्ष कराया जाता है,इसके द्वारा इंजीनियरिंग के इन branches/departments में ऑफिसर्स का recruitment होता है:-

IES Eligibility:Indian Engineering Services Exam की eligibility(पात्रता)
Age limit:-
सभी candidates को दिए गए 1 जनवरी तक 21 वर्ष का हो जाना चाहिए और उनकी उम्र 30 वर्ष से कम होनी चाहिए,यानी जो अभ्यर्थी 30 वर्ष के हो चुके है, वे भी engineering services exam के लिए eligibile नहीं होंगे|
अगर आप पहले से ही government service कर रहे है,तो आपको इस परीक्षा में छुट दी जाएगी,और आपकी अधिकतम उम्र सीमा 35 साल तक होगी,लेकिन इसके लिए आप तभी eligible होंगे जब आप पहले से government के इन departments या offices में काम कर रहे हो,और आपने Indian Engineering services के इन सर्विसेज के लिए अप्लाई किया हो|

यदि आप रेलवे में नौकरी कर रहे/करते है,तो नौकरी से पहले का apprentice का समय एक service की तरह माना जायेगा|
इसके अलावा sc/st के लिए 5 साल,ओबीसी कैंडिडेट्स के लिए 3 वर्ष,military के ex-serviceman के लिए 5 वर्ष का age relaxation दिया जाता है|
persons with benchmark disability,j&k के निवासियों और अन्य defence peronnels को भी उनके अनुसार उम्र में छुट देने का प्रावधान है|

Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London की परीक्षा पास की हो,जोकि नवम्बर 1959 के बाद हुई हो|
इन सबके अलावा Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engg. Posts) के लिए आपको M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject होना चाहिए|
इसी तरह Indian Radio Regulatory Service Group ‘A’ के लिए आपको M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a subject or Master’s Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject होना जरुरी होता है|

UPSC IES Exam: Plan of Examination:-
Indian engineering service का एग्जाम तीन चरणों में कराया जाता है,जिसमे stage-1,stage-2 और stage-3 होता है|
(i) Stage‐I: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage‐I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates
for the Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination;
(ii) Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and
(iii) Stage‐III : Personality Test
Preliminary Exam
इंजीनियरिंग सर्विस की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में दो पेपर होते है,जोकि objective type के प्रश्न होते है,और कुल 500 नंबर (पेपर-1 200 और पेपर-2) के होते है|जो अभ्यर्थी प्रारंभिक परीक्षा को क्लियर कर लेंगे,केवल वही लोग मुख्य (mains) परीक्षा का एग्जाम दे सकेंगे|प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा में प्राप्त किये गए marks को अंतिम merit में जोड़ा जाएगा, में IES में आई गयी कुल vacancies के 6 से 7 गुना अभ्यर्थियों को मुख्य परीक्षा mains exam(stage-II) में बैठने का मौका दिया जाएगा|
इंजीनियरिंग आधारित सेवाओं (मुख्य / स्टेज II) परीक्षा के लिए योग्य होने के लिए आयोग General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Paper (Paper‐I) and Engineering Discipline specific paper (Paper‐II) के minimum qualifying marks के आधार पर उम्मीदवारों की एक सूची तैयार करेगा|
वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार के प्रश्न पत्रों में एक उम्मीदवार द्वारा चिह्नित गलत उत्तरों के लिए दंड (नेगेटिव मार्किंग) होगा।
(i) हर प्रश्न के उत्तर के लिए चार विकल्प हैं। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के लिए जिसके लिए एक गलत उत्तर दिए जाने पर, उस प्रश्न को दिए गए अंकों में से एक तिहाई (1/3) जुर्माना के रूप में काटा जाएगा।
(ii) यदि कोई उम्मीदवार एक से अधिक उत्तर देता है, तो उसे दिए गए उत्तरों में से कोई एक सही होने पर भी उसे गलत उत्तर माना जाएगा
और उस सवाल के लिए ऊपर की तरह ही जुर्माना होगा।
Main Exam
इंजीनियरिंग सेवा (मुख्य / चरण II) परीक्षा में engineering displain में दो पारंपरिक प्रकार के पेपर शामिल होंगे, जिसमें तीन घंटे की अवधि और 600 के अधिकतम अंक (प्रत्येक पेपर में 300 अंक) होंगे।

स्टेज III में 200 अंकों के व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण(personality test) शामिल होंगे।
व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण में नेतृत्व, पहल और बौद्धिक जिज्ञासा, चातुर्य और अन्य सामाजिक गुणों, मानसिक और शारीरिक ऊर्जा, व्यावहारिक अनुप्रयोग की शक्तियों और चरित्र की अखंडता के लिए उम्मीदवार की क्षमता का आकलन करने पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा।
In the Personality Test special attention will be paid to assessing the candidate’s capacity for leadership, initiative and intellectual curiosity, tact and other social qualities, mental and physical energy, powers of practical application, and integrity of character.
उम्मीदवारों द्वारा (प्रारंभिक / स्टेज I) परीक्षा, स्टेज II: (मुख्य / स्टेज II) परीक्षा और स्टेज III (व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण) में प्राप्त अंक उनकी अंतिम रैंकिंग निर्धारित करेगा। उम्मीदवारों को परीक्षा में उनकी रैंक और विभिन्न सेवाओं / पदों के लिए उनके द्वारा व्यक्त की गई वरीयता को ध्यान में रखते हुए विभिन्न सेवाओं के लिए आवंटित किया जाएगा।
